Dr. Wall is a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy Nurse corps where she served in multiple different nursing roles to include inpatient and outpatient units, and deployed and humanitarian missions.
Dr Wall has experience in academia as the progenitor and director of two psychiatric nursing programs at Duke School of Nursing and Uniformed Services University; the first went to the #1 online program within two years. She was also the academic director and partner for the Psychiatric Nurse Residency program at the Durham VA Medical Center. Most recently, she joined the post graduate PMHNP program at University of New Hampshire as an Associate Professor.
She was the Chief of In Service and an International Health Coordinator at the United States Peace Corps. There she served as the only psychiatric provider in the Peace Corps and developed expertise in the mental health care management of Peace corps Volunteers worldwide.
Answering the call of the overwhelming need for mental health services, Dr. Wall has gone back to her roots and is working part time in a private neuropsychiatric practice in Virginia.
She is a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her research and publications are focused on PTSD, TBI, sleep, simulation, and implicit bias in academic settings. Her clinical expertise is in treating adults with anxiety, PTSD, sexual assault, and depression.
